The second annual Jerry Jones Classic at The Star in Frisco will feature the Cedar Hill Longhorns facing off against the Rockwall Yellowjackets.
The two teams will face off on Saturday, August 27 at 1 p.m. in a rematch of last year’s season-opening classic, where Rockwall defeated Cedar Hill 42-29.
“What an honor it is to have two storied Texas high school football programs complete at Ford Center at The Star in Frisco to open the football season,” said Dallas Cowboys owner, president, and general manager Jerry Jones. “High school football is the bloodline of our sport, and we are proud to continue to host high school games of this magnitude here in Frisco to continue that great tradition.”
The game will be broadcast on NFL Network the following day, on Monday, August 29, at 11 p.m. CT, following the Dallas Cowboys Season Kickoff Event that will be broadcast on the network at 10 p.m. CT.
Rockwall finished last season 9-3, losing in the second round of the 6A state playoffs. They enter this season ranked as the No.10 team in 6A according to Texas Football.
Their team is highlighted by what is considered one of the most electrifying offenses in the state under head coach Trey Brooks. Rockwall’s offense features four-star wide receiver and Clemson commit Noble Johnson, who finished last season with over 800 yards and eight touchdowns.
Cedar Hill went 8-5 last season, also falling in the second round of the 6A playoffs. Their defense has gained a reputation as one of the state’s best under head coach Carlos Lynn, setting up a matchup of strengths versus strengths against Rockwall’s high-powered offense.
Cedar Hill’s defense features three-star linebacker and TCU commit Kylan Salter, who had 115 tackles, including 16 tackles for loss and four forced fumbles.

It’s just another scheme for Jerry Jones to rake in more profit for him and his family. I have to say thatJerry Jones is a businessman and should stay focused on business instead of being a general manager of an NFL team. I would trust him to manage a peewee league football team.
