Boxing legend Roy Jones Jr. stopped in Dallas to promote an upcoming fight and help launch a new boxing gym — but the visit quickly turned into something nobody expected.
While spending time with local youth at the facility, Jones stepped into the ring with The Dallas Express Sports Network hosts Will Koburg and Connor Dewolf. What began as light training quickly turned into an entertaining sparring session inside the ropes.
Jones, who held world titles from middleweight to heavyweight and earned the title of “Fighter of the Decade” in the 1990s, showed flashes of the speed and skill that made him one of boxing’s all-time greats.
