The Dallas Cowboys have revealed new food options for the 2023 season as the team prepares for its first home game on Sunday afternoon.

The Cowboys have announced new selections at the beginning of every season for the last 14 years. Some recent items have included lobster mac and cheese, variations on burgers and sandwiches, tacos, and Flamin’ Hot Jalapeno Cheddar Popcorn. In addition to the traditional game day fare and some returning offerings, this year’s menu will have seven new items available for fans to purchase at AT&T Stadium.

“When we create menus, I don’t want to create a gimmick item,” George Wasai, vice president of food and beverage for Legends Hospitality, told The Dallas Express. “I want to make sure that everything we create is something that can be shareable but enjoyable.”

Legends Hospitality, a Frisco-based company that manages concessions at AT&T Stadium and other venues and is involved in several areas of the sports industry, will oversee the additions, which include a Birria quesadilla, a massive burrito filled with classic barbecue staples, new hot dog variations, an artisan turkey club sandwich with bacon, a brisket mac and cheese bowl, and unique takes on classic snacks like Flamin’ Hot Cheetos mixed with elote and mac and cheese balls containing Fritos.

“Every year, we have to have something different, and I think that’s how we identify our DNA,” Legends Hospitality Executive Chef Marcello Vazquez told the media as he presented the new items during an event at the stadium. “We’re just different. We try to be a ‘wow factor’ for every single experience.”

Paul Quinn College will also provide ingredients for plant-based food options at the stadium, as it has since 2021. Those options include a plant-based burger, buffalo chicken nachos (made with plant-based chicken), and a healthier spin on loaded tater tots.

The Cowboys cheesesteak will also return in 2023 to the satisfaction of cheesesteak enthusiasts.

“If I do anything to the Cowboys cheesesteak or the Tostitos Ultimate Nachos, they will find my house and hunt me down,” Wasai joked.

The team will also introduce two new craft beer selections as part of a partnership with Granbury-based Revolver Brewery. Gridirion, an American ale, and Let’s Go Girls, a watermelon kolsch, will be available in October.

The new food options will be available in select stadium areas all season, starting with Sunday’s home opener at 3:25 p.m. against the New York Jets (1-0).

According to The Dallas Morning News, the prices of the new items range from $8 to $25.
