‘Best ‘stache in baseball right now’: Krowka delivers the play of the game that sends Rockwall-Heath to regional semifinals

Sports

A fourth-inning grand slam by one of its most recognizable players lifted Rockwall-Heath to a 5-0 series-clinching win over Metroplex opponent Sachse.

Heath shortstop Karson Krowka delivered what was arguably the play of the game to help the Hawks take the 6A Region II quarterfinals at Wylie East High School on May 22.

“Best ‘stache in baseball right now,” the Heath baseball program’s Twitter account posted in reference to Krowka on May 24.

As for the Krowka’s grand slam halfway through Game 3, junior ace Baylor Baumann threw an 85-pitch complete game shutout.

Heath took Game 1 before the Mustangs staved off elimination in Game 2.

The Hawks have a date in the 6A Region II semifinals against Tomball.
