British businesswoman and media personality Katie Hopkins urges Americans to defend their constitutional freedoms, warning that the political and cultural changes she sees in Britain could reach the United States.

On Let’s Talk Local, Hopkins joins host Sarah Zubiate Bennett to discuss free speech, immigration and Islam, along with the personal cost of speaking publicly about divisive issues.

Hopkins argues that fear of losing work, friends or social standing can keep people from expressing their views. She describes the backlash to her own commentary and says she continued speaking despite the professional setbacks and personal consequences.

“I will never ask anyone to agree with anything I say,” Hopkins says. “And I will never ask anyone to like me.”

Hopkins also defends the Second Amendment, contrasting Americans’ ability to protect themselves with her experience in Britain.

She criticizes Britain’s immigration policies and argues that demographic changes have shifted political influence. Bennett asks how she responds to people who view those warnings as fearmongering.

Hopkins also traces her career from military training to The Apprentice, radio and public speaking. She describes rebuilding an audience after losing media work and explains why she takes her American events into predominantly Democratic cities.

Both women become emotional as Hopkins describes the people who attend her shows.

The Dallas Express previously examined the data behind Hopkins’ comments on British speech laws and demographics.
