Dozens of new homes are planned in Granbury, roughly 30 miles southwest of Fort Worth.
Dallas-based homebuilder Landsea Homes Corp. has acquired lots for the development along FM 4 and Willow Ridge Circle. The development’s name, Pirate Village, is an homage to Granbury High School’s pirate mascot.
“Pirate Village is designed to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for all residents. The community’s strategic location offers easy access to the best that Granbury has to offer, including top-rated schools within the esteemed Granbury Independent School District. Every home at Pirate Village is built with Landsea Homes’ commitment to quality and innovation, ensuring a comfortable and convenient lifestyle with modern features and finishes,” reads a description on Landsea’s website.
Earlier this year, The Dallas Express reported that Landsea named Melissa Kelly as president of its Dallas-Fort Worth division. The appointment was part of the firm’s broader efforts to expand its footprint in North Texas following the acquisition of rival homebuilder Antares Homes.
The newly planned development will include 72 single-family homes, ranging from 1,455 to 2,870 square feet, with three to four bedrooms and between two and 2.5 bathrooms.
So far, prices have not been announced.
“Pirate Village is a brand new community in Granbury that we are excited to add to our portfolio in the greater Dallas-Fort Worth metro area,” Kelly said in a statement, per MSN.
“Granbury’s blend of history, culture, and plethora of outdoor activities makes it an enchanting place for its residents to call home. We look forward to offering new opportunities for homebuyers to experience our High Performance Homes.”
Last year, Landsea relocated its headquarters to Dallas-Fort Worth from Newport Beach, California. The company trades under the ticker LSEA on the NASDAQ and has seen its stock price drop nearly 16% this year.
