Living like a pirate in the heart of Plano just became possible for the price of $650,000.

Ryan Ward of RW Properties listed a property earlier this month fit for Blackbeard himself. Located at 2500 E Parker Rd., this home offers an immersive experience designed to make visitors feel like they are on a nautical adventure in the belly of a ship.

Pirate-inspired decor can be found all over. Ropes, wooden planks, rudders, sails, mermaid fixtures, and pirate figurines are scattered throughout the three-bedroom single-family home.

Themed houses like Ward’s do not often make it to the market but have become increasingly popular on rental platforms such as Airbnb.

As The Dallas Express reported, the online marketplace for short-term stays added an “OMG!” category that offers guests unique options, including a potato-shaped home in Idaho, an “invisible house” in Joshua Tree, California, and a house made entirely of bamboo in Bali.

The property consists of over 3,100 square feet of living space and currently includes furniture pieces and light fixtures strategically placed to evoke images of sword fights and treasure maps in the almost entirely wooden interior.

Of course, when this Plano residence was constructed in 1940, it looked nothing like it does now.

Ward told Local Profile that he had been captivated by the property’s potential and decided to transform it into something truly unique.

Situated on a 0.7-acre lot enclosed by a tall fence, the home offers a haven for pirate enthusiasts seeking domesticity. It has three bedrooms, two full baths, a dining room, a media room, a living room, and a spacious kitchen.

The house also comes with a number of water-related amenities. There is a two-person electric sauna below deck, so to speak, as well as a spacious shower with four distinct operation settings.

A covered patio overlooks a pool with a boat-shaped facade featuring a plank.

With a large carport and a two-car garage, this property offers a versatile space for entertaining — with or without the pirate decor, according to Ward.

Yet the pirate theme has proven popular with prospective buyers so far.

Ward told Local Profile that he has already had several showings since the home was listed on May 19.
