A 48-acre luxury lakefront development in Granbury, featuring restaurants, homes, a hotel, and a public park, is currently under development.

Last month, the Granbury City Council approved a zoning request from Irving-based Realty Capital. The development, called Lakeview Landing, will be located about 45 minutes southwest of Fort Worth, on U.S. 377.

“The City Staff, City Council, Planning and Zoning, and Economic Development teams have helped us create a plan that will attract visitors and new residents, increase the tax base, and provide a high-quality mix of uses to the City of Granbury,” said Tim Coltart, the managing partner for Realty Capital. Coltart said in a news release that the project will benefit the city.

Lakeview Landing will be a premier location encompassing 2,000 square feet of lake front real estate. Residential housing options, shops, restaurants, offices, and parks will be included in the area. A press release stated that Lakeview Landing will help energize the area by reeling people in with modern architecture, live music venues, and special events, making it a sought-after destination.

Construction on the project is scheduled to start later this year and will be fully complete by 2026. The project has been in the works since 2019, even though the city just recently granted zoning approval. In the past, Realty Capital Management has developed around 200 projects in the DFW and Colorado areas. The company currently has more than $200 million invested in developments that are underway.

“Our goal is to breathe life into existing retail and energize the area with a variety of lakefront restaurants, shops, and a mix of residential options with prime lake views and private boat slips,” said Austin Gray, who is another development partner for Realty Capital. He stated that Granbury has a tremendous sense of community.
