Carrollton Police said the woman’s 17-year-old son is suspected to have been the intended victim.

According to FOX 4 News, the Carrollton Police Department said no one was hurt in the shooting incident, but the car suffered damages.

The department revealed they planned to arrest the 16-year-old suspect at the high school after detectives identified him as the shooter. However, officers learned upon their arrival that a campus administrator had already detained him for having two guns on campus.

The suspect now faces four counts of alleged aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for the shooting, possession of marijuana in a drug-free zone, and unlawful carrying of a weapon on school grounds.
