MARBIE’S OBITUARY

Marbie Lou Stewart passed away peacefully early July 11, 2021 surrounded by her family.  Marbie was born in Carthage, Texas, the oldest of four children to James Walter Barton and Aline Malesia Chamness.  She is proceeded in death by her four siblings:  James Randall Barton, Betty Jane Tucker, and Margie Fay Castleman.  She was married for 55 years to Billie Frank Stewart, Sr. who proceeded her in death on March 23, 2008.  Marbie was a wonderful wife and dedicated mother to four children; Barbara Jane Grumbles, Billie Frank Stewart, Jr., Carole Lynette Golden and Leigh Ann Thomas.  She also loved and enjoyed 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and many extended family and friends. There will be a chapel viewing from 11 to 1 on July 14, 2021 at Hughes Funeral Home – Ed C. Smith Chapel, 4419 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, followed by a graveside burial at Grove Hill Memorial Park, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, Tx, across the street from the funeral home.  Should you choose to, in lieu of flowers, you can make a donation to the Good Samaritan Children’s Home in Malawi, Africa, the previous home of a newly adopted great-grandson.  https://goodsamaritanbaptistministries.org/ways-to-help
