Obituary for Joyce G. Wolff
Joyce Grissaffi Wolff, age 85, of Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2021. She was born on Aug. 16, 1935 to Joseph Grissaffi and Lucille Runk Grissaffi in Dallas. Joyce attended Ursuline Academy and went on to study business at Arlington State College which would later become UT Arlington. She worked for a CPA firm where she met the love of her life, Edward Wolff, Jr. They married in 1960 and were later blessed with two children, Susan Marie and Edward Albert, III.
Joyce was a devout Catholic and served the Church in many capacities, including serving as a Eucharistic Minister, a member of the Hospitality team, and was named St. Patrick Woman of the Year. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing bridge and attending book club meetings. Joyce took many trips and cruises with her family and friends. She maintained close ties to her Ursuline sisters and other moms she met through her children’s schools, neighborhoods and church friends, regularly meeting them for breakfast or lunch.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ed, her parents, sisters Blanche Holden, Peggy Cooper, Gail Hollingworth, Betty Clark, and brothers Bill and Eddie Grissaffi.
She is survived by her twin brother Joseph Grissaffi and his wife Marion; brother Lewis Grissaffi; sisters Patricia Boggs and Sue Culpepper; daughter Susan Marie Wolf (David Wolf); son Edward A. Wolff, III; grandchildren Christopher, Jason, and Nicole Wolf, and numerous nephews and nieces. She will be greatly missed by all.
