OBITUARY

Alice Ann Price

JANUARY 8, 1957 – JULY 2, 2021

On July 2, Alice Ann Price rejoined her heavenly family and gained her wings. Alice was born on January 8, 1957 to Taft Butcher and Odell Moore Butcher in Wortham, Texas. Alice graduated from Wortham High School in 1975 and received a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of North Texas in 1979.

Alice accepted Christ at an early age at Smith Chapel Primitive Baptist Church and later became a member of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship. She married Benjamin Price in 1980 and was a beloved wife to her husband, and a mother to three children, Mandy, Omari and Jeff, and an adopted mom to Anthony. Alice had a knack for lighting up the room; she was a compassionate soul who had a passion for caring for others. She worked for several years at the Salvation Army as a drug and alcohol counselor before working as a clerk for the US Postal Service for more than thirty years. Alice’s greatest love was her family, and she never stopped talking about her grandchildren. Alice is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Larry Carter, William Calvin Butcher, Troy Fay Butcher, Edell Butcher, Joe Butcher, Leroy Butcher and Taft Butcher.
