Thousands of M&M’s Peanut candies have been recalled across 20 states after repackaging left milk, soy, and peanut allergens undeclared on labels, federal regulators announced.

The Food and Drug Administration classified the recall as Class II, meaning the products pose a health hazard that could cause temporary adverse effects.

Beacon Promotions Inc. initiated the voluntary recall on January 26 for 5,788 units of repackaged M&M’s Peanut candies. The company expanded the recall on February 4 to include additional lot codes and products.

The recalled candies were distributed to major markets, including California, New York, Pennsylvania, and Texas. Products were sold under various promotional labels, including Make Your Mark, Subaru, Adobe, Morgan Stanley, and others.

Two product codes are affected: BB458BG with 5,788 units across four lot codes, and BB471BG with 541 units from a single lot. Best-by dates range from December 2025 through September 2026.

The allergen mislabeling occurred during repackaging for corporate promotions and events. Original M&M’s packaging clearly lists peanuts, milk, and soy as ingredients.

No illnesses have been reported. Consumers with allergies to milk, soy, or peanuts should discard the products or return them for a refund.

The recall affects distribution centers in Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.
