A massive winter storm will move across the country this week, affecting millions of residents across 22 states.

The National Weather Service has issued winter weather alerts ahead of winter storm Olive, which is forecast to bring a mix of heavy snow, rain, and strong winds to a large portion of the U.S. A blizzard warning has been issued for six states.

“A massive winter storm will impact a large portion of the U.S. the next few days. Hazards will include widespread heavy snow, blizzard conditions, a zone of sleet and freezing rain, high winds, severe thunderstorms and record low/high temperatures,” the National Weather Service (NWS) tweeted.

The storm will begin in the West and stretch across the upper portions of the country and into the Northeast.

“Heavy snow to low elevations in the West will extend across the Intermountain West to the Great Lakes. Strong winds will extend across the West and Southwest with critical fire weather threats in the South High Plains,” the NWS said.

States will see wind gusts from 50-60 mph. Wind speeds could reach up to 80 mph, according to the NWS.

States that are expected to see at least a foot of snow are South Dakota, Wisconsin, northern Michigan, and Minnesota, according to the Weather Channel.

Miles Langfield, a meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, told The Dallas Express that the winter storm should stay in the upper U.S. and miss Texas.

“All of the winter weather should remain well north of here up in the northern states such as Minnesota, South Dakota, and Nebraska,” said Langfeld.

“The most that we’re going to get is a slight cooldown come Thursday,” Langfeld added.

Winter storm Olive is expected to continue through Thursday.

The Weather Channel reports “historic” winter blizzard and cold conditions, and the “first blizzard warning for Southern California since 2005.” Obviously evidence of Global Warming! Or is it another “little ice age” as predicted by scientists in the ‘70’s? We’re pretty arrogant if we think we can control the climate and predict what the temp will be 50 years from now when we can’t even predict with certainty what the temp will be tomorrow!!

Climate change is a scam. Another avenue for dems to waste billions of taxpayer dollars. And there is no accounting of where that money actually went. They probably blame the eruption of Mount St. Helens in 1980 on global warming, which severely affected the weather. I remember in June of that year, it hit 113° in June. And we had snow on the ground that winter for 2 weeks. I’d like to ask them what exactly caused the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. Doctors/scientists will say whatever you want to hear, if you give them enough money (as was certainly evidenced by Covid). They cannot control the weather. Volcanoes erupting, tornadoes, hurricanes, extreme heat and winter storms have been happening since time began. The moon affects the tides. Wonder when they’re going to come up with a scam that they can control the moon.

People are such conformists. Following the crowd no matter how ridiculous. This insanity reminds me of the story of Chicken Little, convincing others that the sky is falling. Want to help the atmosphere? One very simple way is to plant tons of trees. They shade the earth and emit oxygen. Those EV’s are not only costly, they’re dangerous. I saw a news story of an EV catching fire and it took the firefighters HOURS to put it out. Before those cars were put into circulation, they should have come up with a chemical to easily douse the fire. But, of course, our government likes to put the cart before the horse, with no consideration of the dangers or repercussions.
