Chick-fil-A, founded in 1946 and known for its chicken sandwiches and community involvement, operates more than 3,000 locations.
The move adds Chick-fil-A to a growing list of corporate sponsors supporting events, education, and service projects leading up to the semiquincentennial. America250 aims to engage all 350 million Americans in the milestone celebration of the nation’s founding.
Chick-fil-A’s involvement focuses on volunteer service through America Gives. The company’s owner-operators and team members will participate in community service initiatives across the country as part of the countdown to the 250th anniversary.
America Gives, the volunteer initiative Chick-fil-A is supporting, challenges businesses, nonprofits, schools, and individuals to log service hours throughout 2026. America250 itself is donating $1 million to support service projects, with participants able to log hours for a chance to direct donations to causes.
Rosie Rios, chair of America250, said in the announcement, “As America marks its 250th anniversary, partnerships like this highlight the organizations that have strengthened communities and defined our nation’s spirit of service.”
Other major sponsors and their contributions include:
- Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Southwest Airlines, and United Airlines — providing travel support and themed aircraft liveries to promote the celebrations nationwide.
