FBI Director Christopher Wray will testify on July 12 before the House Judiciary Committee, it was announced on Wednesday.

The Republican-led committee said the hearing will relate to “the politicization of the nation’s preeminent law enforcement agency,” the Washington Examiner reported.

The new testimony comes on the heels of some criticism of Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland for allegedly using the justice system against political opponents.

CNN reported “everything” is on the table for the hearing, including the indictment of former President Donald Trump and special counsel John Durham’s report. Allegations of retaliation against whistleblowers and whether Catholics were FBI targets likely will arise.

Wray previously acknowledged errors in the Trump-Russia probe, cited by the Durham report. He said in a statement that the bureau had “already implemented dozens of corrective actions, which have now been in place for some time.”

“I am very committed to the FBI being agile in its tackling of foreign threats,” Wray said in an interview with the Associated Press. “But I believe you can be agile and still scrupulously follow our rules, policies, and processes.”

Trump was critical of Wray, whom he appointed.

“I don’t know what report current Director of the FBI Christopher Wray was reading, but it sure wasn’t the one given to me,” Trump wrote on Twitter. “With that kind of attitude, he will never be able to fix the FBI, which is badly broken despite having some of the greatest men & women working there!”

Trump’s chief rival for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, said he would fire Wray if elected.

“No, I would not keep Chris Wray as director of the FBI. There’ll be a new one on day one,” DeSantis told Fox News in May.

Democrats have not agreed with the GOP’s review of Wray’s work.

“The FBI is doing its job with integrity and effectiveness, and I think the FBI deserves support,” U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) told Fox News. “It’s a law enforcement agency that protects us from violent extremism in this country, as well as many other deeply concerning crimes.”
