Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis reportedly will kick off his 2024 presidential campaign Wednesday night on Twitter.

NBC News and The New York Times are reporting DeSantis will join Twitter owner Elon Musk for an announcement Wednesday at 5 p.m. Central Time.

DeSantis will later appear on Fox News for an interview with Trey Gowdy, a former South Carolina congressman, the media outlets said.

The field for the GOP primary has been expanding.

U.S. Sen. Tim Scott announced his bid on Monday, as reported by The Dallas Express.

Former President Donald Trump, former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley, former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson, entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, and radio host Larry Elder previously announced their candidacies.
