The FBI has reportedly obtained text messages that indicate a Chinese energy company began pursuing a relationship with the Biden family in late 2015, according to an online news media outlet.

As House Republicans investigate President Joe Biden’s ties to son Hunter’s overseas business deals, Radar Online reported a new wrinkle in the messages from CEFC China Energy.

The texts were sent by Hunter Biden’s business partner, James Gilliar, to future partner Tony Bobulinski on Christmas Eve in 2015, according to the report.

CEFC China Energy reportedly wanted to leverage the Biden name to buy up U.S. energy assets.

“There will be a deal between one of the most prominent families from US and [China] constructed by me,” Gilliar stated, according to the news outlet. “I think this will then be a great addition to their portfolios as it will give them a profile base in NYC, then LA, etc.”

“For me it’s a no brainer but culturally they are different, but smart so let’s see,” Gilliar continued. “Any entry ticket is small for them. Easier and better demographic than Arabs who are little anti US after [T]rump.”

The texts seemingly confirmed testimony along similar lines given to Congress last week by Hunter Biden’s business associate Devon Archer, as previously reported by The Dallas Express.

In business deals with Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company, Archer testified that the “Biden brand” referred to Joe Biden, not Hunter Biden, in business deals.

“There are particular … objectives that Burisma was trying to accomplish. And a lot of it’s about opening doors … globally in D.C. … [A]nd then obviously having those doors opened … sent the right signals … for Burisma to … carry on its business and be successful,” Archer testified.

The CEFC-Hunter Biden relationship appeared to begin in 2015 and progressed slowly over time, according to Newsbreak. The relationship allegedly led to lucrative payments and consulting fees.

Although the investigation into the business dealings between Hunter Biden and CEFC is ongoing, estimates indicate the total financial impact of the CEFC conglomerate’s relationship may have been as much as $7 million, Newsbreak reported.

One revelation in court documents shows a $664,000 payment to Hunter Biden from one Chinese deal and a $1 million legal retainer fee from another.
