Tucker Carlson will be coming to Fort Worth to help fundraise for the Tarrant County Republican Party this weekend.

The pundit’s presence at an upcoming event was announced in a Tarrant County Republican Party email. It will start at 4 p.m. on March 17, with doors opening at the undisclosed venue at 3:30 p.m. Ticketholders will be advised of the location directly.

“We expect this event to sell out quickly. … You may purchase tickets … if you wish to pay online. Officeholders, candidates, or political organizations must pay by check,” the message stated.

Indeed, the news of Tucker’s attendance has since gone viral, and tickets ended up surging from $50 to $100 due to high demand.

“BREAKING: After selling out, we have been able to procure an additional limited number of tickets for @TuckerCarlson. Get yours today before they are gone,” Tarrant County Republican Chair Bo French posted on X.

Tarrant County has been a target for Democrats for several years due to the party having narrowly secured the majority of voters there for President Joe Biden in 2020 and Senate candidate Beto O’Rourke in 2018. When Biden carried the county in 2020, Rep. Chris Turner (D-Grand Prairie) suggested that the county had embraced Democratic values.

“This is the second election in a row that Democrats won Tarrant County at the top of the ticket, a clear indication that this is now a very competitive county that will only continue to get more Democratic,” Turner said, according to The Dallas Morning News.

For their part, Republican county leaders have said that they are working to keep the county under Republican control.

For instance, reflecting on his first year as Tarrant County judge with The Dallas Express, Tim O’Hare explained how he had been elected on a platform of cutting taxes and successfully reduced taxpayer spending by over $8 million from 2023 to 2024.

“And we did it without laying off a single person,” O’Hare told DX.

“As long as I’m here, we will promote freedom, liberty, and economic prosperity,” he added.
