Local police are investigating a vehicle crash that left one person dead on Thursday night.

Fort Worth police were alerted to a major crash at McCart Avenue and West Drew Street during the evening of December 21, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Reportedly, a truck had collided with a vacant duplex that had subsequently caught fire. Upon arriving at the scene, police discovered an already deceased person, presumably the driver, according to the police department. No other injuries have been reported.

The identity of this driver has not yet been released, and the circumstances surrounding the crash are unclear.

This is not the only incident to have occurred this year regarding a driver crashing into a home. Siblings Jeffrey and Brookanne Clark, who both live with muscular dystrophy, started a fundraiser for their caretaker after her house was largely destroyed when an allegedly drunk driver drove his truck through it, as previously reported by The Dallas Express.
