The metroplex will soon welcome the renowned Jinya Ramen Bar, opening its newest location in Carrollton.
The California-based ramen chain, which claims to simmer its broth “for more than twenty hours,” has dozens of locations across the United States and Canada.
The latest addition in North Texas opens on October 15.
Originally from Japan, founder Tomo Takahashi opened his first Jinya in Tokyo in 2000. After seeing what he believed was a lack of authentic ramen overseas, he eventually expanded to California. From there, the franchise grew into 66 locations across North America.
“At JINYA, experience ramen for the first time on this side of the Pacific like it was meant to be – with thick, rich broth in perfect balance with handmade noodles,” reads a description of the restaurant on its website.
The first 100 guests on opening day will be treated to a complimentary bowl of ramen, with festivities starting at 11 a.m., according to a press release from Jinya.
“After feeling so much love from the Dallas area, we knew we had to bring more of our signature ramen to the surrounding cities. Our customers have been wonderful in supporting us so far and we hope Carrollton will fall in love with ramen this October,” Jinya CEO Tomo Takahashi said in the press release.
As previously reported by The Dallas Express, the Carrollton location will mark North Texas’ third Jinya location. Jinya already has one spot in Preston Hollow on Walnut Hill Lane and another in Victory Park on High Market Street. The newest location in Carrollton will be located at 2451 Old Denton Road.
“JINYA is ramen culture, where the relationship between broth and noodles is serious but delicious business. From the water we use to prepare our broths – FUJI Water – to the special aging process that our noodles undergo before they’re cooked and served, we’re crazy about ramen and pay meticulous attention to everything that goes into your bowl. You’ll quickly see why at JINYA we say, ‘No ramen, no life,'” reads the website.
