The restaurant company behind Jinya Ramen Bar plans to open its third North Texas restaurant next year in Carrollton.

According to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing, Jinya Holdings plans to spend an estimated $350,000 for the build-out of a nearly 2,500-square-foot space on Old Denton Road. The work is scheduled to begin in February and has an anticipated delivery date of August.

Jinya Ramen Bar operates more than 60 franchises across the country, including two in the Victory Park and Preston Hollow neighborhoods of Dallas. Based in Burbank, California, the first Jinya was opened by Tomo Takahashi in 2000 in Tokyo. The menu offers a number of ramen dishes, salads, rice bowls, octopus, tacos, as well as shrimp and chicken dishes.

PaperCity Magazine named the Victory Park location among the top 10 best ramen bars in Dallas.

The concept is all about authentic ramen, “where the relationship between broth and noodles is serious but delicious business,” according to the restaurant’s website. “From the water we use to prepare our broths — we only use FUJI which is 99.9% free from impurities — to the special aging process that our noodles undergo before they’re cooked and served, we’re crazy about ramen and pay meticulous attention to everything that goes into your bowl.”

Jinya Holdings also owns brands Robata Jinya, LBD Japanese Bar & Lounge, Saijo (Canada), bushi by Jinya, and Jinya Ramen Express.

The planned Carrollton location is near Carrollton Town Center, home to BCU Tofu House, Gen Korean BBQ House, Kura Revolving Sushi Bar, The Kickin’ Crab Cajun Seafood House, SomiSomi, Hanabi Ramen, Kung Fu Tea, and several other restaurants.
