Texas authorities are boosting a cash reward and urging the public to help locate a North Texas man wanted for murder.

The Texas Department of Public Safety stated that Hassan Haitham Muhsen from Frisco has been named the agency’s Featured Fugitive for May, with a combined reward of up to $11,000 now available for information leading to his arrest.

“$11,000 CASH REWARD This month’s Featured Fugitive is Hassan Haitham Muhsen – a 22-year-old from Frisco wanted for CAPITAL MURDER in Collin Co. Authorities have been looking for him since April 24, 2026, after he cut off his ankle monitor. Muhsen had been out on a $1M bond following a robbery/shooting in McKinney in January 2025. Through the end of May, $11,000 is available for tipsters who provide info that helps law enforcement bring Muhsen back into custody. More on Muhsen and how to submit tips,” the agency posted on X.

In a separate press release, DPS said the reward includes $6,000 offered through Texas Crime Stoppers for tips submitted during the month of May, along with an additional $5,000 offered by the U.S. Marshals Service.

Authorities allege Muhsen has been wanted out of Collin County since April 24, 2026, when he is accused of cutting off his electronic ankle monitor and fleeing. The capital murder charge stems from his alleged involvement in a robbery and shooting in McKinney in January 2025, according to DPS.

Muhsen is a suspect in the killing of Vicente Segoviano during a robbery and shooting in McKinney in January 2025.

Records from Collin County courts show multiple “inactive pending” cases against Muhsen, including charges related to controlled substances and capital murder, alongside a prior misdemeanor weapons charge for a defendant named “Hassan Muhsen,” who lacks a listed middle name, that has been disposed.

DPS’s press release described him as approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall and about 120 pounds, with tattoos on his neck, left hand, and left wrist.

An earlier report noted that the reward had been increased to $6,000 at the start of May as authorities intensified their search, with officials warning that Muhsen should be considered armed and dangerous, according to previous reporting by The Dallas Express.

That report also cited concerns from the victim’s family, including statements that they were not immediately notified after Muhsen allegedly removed his ankle monitor, raising questions about communication and public safety.

DPS said its investigators are working with local law enforcement agencies to locate Muhsen and encouraged the public to submit tips. Officials emphasized that all tips can be submitted anonymously through the Crime Stoppers hotline, the DPS website, or social media channels, and that tipsters will be assigned a number rather than their name.

The DPS press release cautioned members of the public not to attempt to apprehend Muhsen themselves.
