Dallas company Compass Datacenters plans to add two more data centers at its campus in Red Oak, according to a pair of state filings.

The buildings are each 251,815 square feet and bear a combined construction cost of $200 million. The anticipated delivery date of the project labeled “Building 3” is February 2025, and the anticipated delivery date for the other, labeled “Building 4,” is June 2025.

Compass Datacenters also operates in Allen. In February, The Dallas Express reported that the company was nearing completion of a $32 million project with Schneider Electric to support the Red Oak campus.

“The cutting-edge 103,000-square-foot facility, located near Compass Datacenters’ Red Oak campus, is designed to integrate modular data center solutions and build pre-engineered, prefabricated IT infrastructure, which will be delivered to Schneider’s United States customers,” according to a news release. That facility is expected to create more than 100 jobs.

North Texas continues to be a hot market for data centers.

The Dallas Express reported in February that Plano-based Aligned Data Centers plans to build a 450,000-square-foot facility in North Texas to add to its Dallas-area inventory after the Plano Planning and Zoning Commission approved a request from the company for a specific use permit for an electrical substation near the 44-acre North Star Road property and its preliminary site plan.

The East Plano site will be the Plano company’s third data center in the area. The other two are on Summit Avenue.
