As a prelude to spring, Valentine’s Day is a day to remember why you fell in love with that special person, or you may profess your love for that certain someone you have been too nervous to share your feelings with. Regardless of your current “relationship status,” you will score with these events, restaurant specials, and happenings in and around Dallas.

Renew your commitment to the love of your life at a Valentine’s Vow Renewal. Presented by CSLDallas, A Center for Spiritual Living, this in-person event is for all couples, even if you have yet to say, “I do.”

If you are looking for a romantic Valentine’s dinner, try Perry’s Steakhouse with spectacular views of Klyde Warren Park and Downtown Dallas. Enjoy a special three-course prix fixe menu that includes two salads, a filet mignon roast, lobster tails, sides, and chocolate-dipped strawberry kisses for two for $175 per couple.

Truluck’s will feature a once-a-year offering of Maine Lobster Ravioli, only served during the Valentine’s Day weekend, February 11 through 14. Other exclusive Valentine’s Day items include a bottle of wine for $56 and Truluck’s annual offering of strawberry chocolate cake for fourteen dollars.

If your dinner plans are early in the day, groove the night away with the sounds of Stephanie Mills and The Whispers for the Valentine’s Love Jam at the Music Hall at Fair Park. Tickets start at $55.

If you are booked for Valentine’s Day but still want to celebrate a “Galentine’s Day” with your girls, The Cresent Hotel hosts afternoon tea. The special winter menu will include seasonal Damman Fréres teas along with curry-chicken-salad tea-sandwiches, cardamom-spiced Barlett pear, almond tart, and seasonal scones and macarons. Following tea, enjoy endless champagne – one and a half hours from the time you are seated.
