Fort Worth Stockyards to Open New Restaurant and Music Venue

Chef Tim Love announced on February 8 that his biggest addition to the Fort Worth Stockyards yet is on the horizon. Expanding on his numerous restaurants in the area, Love partnered with Live Nation, the world’s leading live entertainment company, to create a music venue and bring further entertainment to the stockyards. 

According to Fort Worth News, the new addition will be Tannahill’s Tavern & Music Hall. Along with serving as the Fort Worth Stockyards’ music venue, the building will also serve food, as it will feature a restaurant .

Located in the Mule Alley development with the historic Horse and Mule Barns, the structure will be 26,000 square feet, two stories tall, and can seat one-thousand people around the stage. There will also be space for private events such as corporate gatherings, weddings, and family reunions.

Full concert concessions will be provided for purchase, with pre-event dining available. Patrons attending concerts will have access to the tavern and restaurant. 

Studio 11 Design of Dallas is in charge of the venue’s interior design. The main stage and restaurant, along with a double-sided bar and a retail shop will be located on the main floor. The second floor will be home to a mezzanine with three separate VIP suites that can hold twenty people, a lounge area, a private bar, and a view of the main stage below. 

Love stated, “Our team is thrilled to bring our 20-year knowledge of the stockyards and our extensive hospitality and live music experience to add another layer of richness to Fort Worth’s legendary, robust live music scene. We are very grateful to have Live Nation as our booking partner – we plan to bring some incredible acts to Fort Worth.”

According to the press release, Love is the owner of Love Management, Inc. and owns companies in the Fort Worth Stockyards and beyond. He manages Woodshed Smokehouse, Queenie’s Steakhouse, Gemelle, Hotel Otto, Lonesome Dove Western Bistro, Love Shack, Atico, White Elephant Saloon, and Paloma Suerte. 

Per Dallas CultureMap, Love is also the co-founder of Austin Food & Wine and holds the title of “official chef for Austin City.”

The new music venue is scheduled to open to the public later in 2022. It will provide a mixture of aspiring performing artists and well-known musicians of various musical genres.
