If you’ve ever felt the urge to throw a pie in someone’s face, now’s your chance. The third annual Texas Pie Fest is returning to Tate Farms in Rockwall this Saturday, June 18, with plenty of pies for eating and throwing.

The festival includes a 3:00 p.m. pie fight for those wanting to relieve some stress. Participants will receive a poncho and unlimited pies to throw, and the best part is there will be no clean-up, as local pigs will be on hand to take care of the mess.

For those who prefer to eat pie rather than throw it, there will be a pie-eating contest for humans and one for dogs. All dogs must be kept on a leash while at the venue.

More than 18 of the best pie vendors from across Texas will be showing off their tasty treats. Last year’s Texas Pie Fest brought out thousands of people, and some vendors ran out of pies. However, that will not be the case this year.

“Do not worry,” Melissa Tate of Tate Farms told WFAA. “There is going to be plenty of pie.”

In addition to pies, pies, and more pies, there will also be eleven other food and beverage vendors on hand, including Fletcher’s Corny Dogs and the Easy Slider Food Truck. Water will be provided to all festival-goers free of charge to help wash down all the eats and sweets.

This year an all-new picnic area will be available, and visitors are encouraged to bring tents, chairs, or blankets for their own use.

Live music, an animal exhibition, and plenty of retail vendors will entertain visitors throughout the day. In addition, those who want to try their hands at making a pie can enter the pie-making contest for a small fee.

Tickets for entry into the Texas Pie Fest are available online and at the gate. Adults are $10, and children ten and under are free. All contests are free to enter, with the exception of the pie-making competition, which requires a small fee. Doors open at 10:00 a.m. and close at 4:00 p.m.
