It’s time to unwind as the workweek comes to an end. Whether you’re up for a laugh at a comedy show, strolling around an arts festival, learning a new kitchen skill, or planning to get in some exercise, Dallas has it all. We’ve put together a list to help you enjoy the weekend.

Friday, April 5

Kick off your weekend at the Deep Ellum Community Arts Fair. The fair, which garnered the Dallas Observer Readers’ Choice award for “Best Arts Festival” last year, is celebrating a slew of local artists, performers, and Deep Ellum businesses that showcase the rich culture of the district.
Where: Deep Ellum, Crowdus St.
When: April 5 to 8, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.

Get your bling on at the International Gem and Jewelry Show, where visitors can shop directly from designers. Expect row after row of diamonds, gemstones, engagement rings, chains, watches, and other great finds.
Where: Dallas Market Hall, 2200 N Stemmons Fwy
When: 12 to 6 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Learn a skill in the kitchen this weekend. Central Market Plano’s Cooking School will focus on using cast iron cookware, guiding students through steakhouse basics.

Lighten up the end of your week with a comedy show. Catch Jenny Zigrino, as seen on Comedy Central, Conan, and MTV, as she stops by Dallas this weekend.

When: Two shows each night, Friday and Saturday, at 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

Saturday, April 6

Don’t let that baby bump hold you back. Start off your Saturday at a prenatal group fitness class with a full-body workout tailored to any mom-to-be.

Mamas Night Out is looking to pamper those overworked mamas this weekend with a fun and interactive candle-making class. Professionals and beginners alike are invited to come out and create their custom candles.
Where: Olphactory Candles, 12640 East Northwest Hwy
When: 4 to 6 p.m.

Celebrate your artistic side at a photography workshop this weekend. A professional photographer will lead students through a comprehensive photography class at White Rock Lake and its surrounding park. The class will focus on lighting, composition, shutter speed, and more.

When: 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Attention seafood lovers, it’s about time again to kick off crawfish season! The annual Dallas Crawfish Kickoff Festival is back with all-you-can-eat crawfish, a full bar, live music all day long, and plenty of food vendors if crawfish isn’t your favorite, but you’d like to join in the festivities anyway.
Where: Pacific Plaza, 401 North Harwood St.

Sunday, April 7

Can you truly call yourself a ‘yogi’ if you’ve never done yoga with goats? Goat Yoga Dallas is presenting a special solar eclipsed theme goat yoga class, where participants partake in a guided yoga class while pet goats graze and jump around you.

When: 11:30 a.m. — 12:30 p.m.

Catch the ultimate Texas vs. Texas basketball game as the Dallas Mavericks take on the Houston Rockets this weekend.

What sounds more blissful than spending your weekend at a “flower factory?” Join Flower Factory of Texas on the patio by the lake and learn how to create your very own flower bouquet. A brunch spread and bubbly drinks will be provided. Bonus: enjoy the bluebonnets in bloom on the drive to the venue.
