Another North Texan has just become a millionaire.
Texas Lottery announced on August 30 that a resident of Garland claimed a winning scratch-off ticket for $1 million. The person won the prize money by playing the scratch ticket game 200X Cash Blitz.
200X Cash Blitz features over $145 million in total prizes, with a top prize of $1 million. This game had four top prizes of $1 million in play, and three have now been claimed.
There are about 10,031,750 tickets in this game, and the overall odds of winning any prizes are 1 in 3.68, according to Texas Lottery. Prizes in the scratch-off game range from $20 to $1 million. A grand total of 547,973 people have claimed a $20 prize.
Two of the four top-prize-winning tickets were claimed earlier this year. One was sold at Uncle’s convenience store in Midland on March 23, and another was sold at Seabrook Market on January 23.
Texas Lottery announced that the third top-prize ticket was sold at the Mini Mart at 1106 Rowlett Rd. in Garland on August 25. The person who claimed the ticket chose to remain anonymous.
So far, 26 of the 58 winning tickets for the next highest prize of $20,000 have been claimed. In addition, 156 of the 332 winning tickets for $2,000 have been claimed.
Any non-winning Cash Blitz scratch-off ticket can be entered in the iHeartRadio Cash Blitz Promotional Second-Chance Drawing.
Other North Texans have also won substantial sums recently. One lucky customer at a 7-Eleven in Dallas purchased a winning ticket for an estimated annuitized $17 million during the July 16 drawing, as previously reported by The Dallas Express.
Choctaw Casino & Resorts in Durant, Oklahoma, recently wrapped up its “3 Months. 3 Millionaires.” summer giveaway promotion, as covered by The Dallas Express. All three winners of a $1 million prize were Texans, and one of them, identified as Stephanie S., was from North Texas.
