The iconic Galleria Mall in Dallas is kicking off the year with the addition of several new specialty stores.

Since it first opened in 1982, the Galleria Dallas has served as one of North Texas’ premiere shopping destinations.

Modeled after Italy’s oldest active shopping gallery — the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II — the Galleria Dallas serves as a multi-use shopping center featuring a glass vaulted ceiling, a bottom-level ice rink, and more than 200 different stores across roughly 1.4 million square feet of retail shopping space.

Four new specialty stores have opened just this year, with several planned around the corner in spring and summer, according to a release reported by WFAA.

A full list of the Galleria Dallas’ new and scheduled shops includes:

Great American Cookies was established in 1977 using a generations-old family recipe. Today, Great American Cookies is home to the original Cookie Cake. The shop is currently open and can be found on level 2, next to Haagen-Dazs.

Bonsai Paper Co. is a stationery gift company that specializes in gift-wrapping services and unique handmade products. Bonsai Paper Co. is currently open on level 3 next to Earthbound Trading Co.

Offline by Aerie is an offshoot of American Eagle focused on sportswear, leggings, swimsuits, and more. Offline by Aeire is currently open and can be found on level 2.

Banter, better known as Banter by Piercing Pagoda, is a more than 50-year-old specialty store that sells a mix of fine jewelry and earrings. Banter’s store is currently open and can be found on level 2, next to Build-A-Bear.

Mango is a Spanish design and manufacturing company that specializes in stylish clothing for men, women, and children, footwear, and other accessories. Mango will open this fall on Level 1.

Intimissimi is a stylish Italian clothing brand that specializes in a variety of women’s clothes and accessories. Intimissimi will open this spring on level 1 across from Sephora.

Tippy Tot Shoes is an independently owned retailer that sells luxury footwear for toddlers and infants. Tippy Tot Shoes will open this spring on level 3 near Auntie Anne’s.

Bachendorf’s Jewelers is a specialty retailer that sells fine diamonds and other designer jewelry. The store already has a shop at the Galleria but will undergo a planned expansion scheduled to be completed in summer 2023. During the holdover, Bachendorf’s Jewelers will be relocated to a temporary store on level 1.

Despite all the clamor about a slowdown in shopping mall activity, the Galleria Dallas still supports robust demand from the local community, out-of-staters, and business travelers. Its location at the intersection of Interstate 635 and the Dallas North Tollway makes it an easy-to-pick destination for travelers flying in from DFW International Airport and Dallas Love Field.

  2. fed up with Dallas County

Malls are dead. Dallas is not safe. Stay out of Dallas County if you want to enjoy a long life. Thanks to people like John Cruezot, a brain-dead Dallas City Council and an understaffed and demoralized police we don’t prosecute criminals here. The aforementioned kneel to them.
