Working out in the gym can sometimes get boring — hence the need to spice things up from time to time. Movement The Hill climbing gym’s “Boulders and Brews” is a way to get in a fun, adventurous workout while meeting new people and topping the training off with a cold one.

Movement The Hill gives avid and novice climbers a chance to conquer 37,000 square feet of space primarily dedicated to indoor rock climbing. This climbing gym’s location has climbing classes and an outdoor fitness area surrounding a tree that has been a part of the location since the 1970s.

“This space strongly appealed to our company values. Not only are our team members strong environmental advocates, but through our giving program, we strive to enhance the outdoor areas that make climbing so special,” said Robert Cohen, Movement CEO.

The “Boulders and Brews” event will include “bouldering,” which is rock climbing without ropes or harnesses. Such free climbing is done on small rock formations or constructed rock walls. Participants will learn falling, bouldering etiquette, and fundamental movement skills.

For this special event, Movement The Hill has partnered with Civil Pour, a unique beer bar with a passion for finding the best beers across various styles. Civil Pour cleans beer lines twice a week to ensure a clean, refreshing taste.

“Boulders and Brews” will kick off at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 19. After the hour climb, participants can walk over to Civil Pour for beer and trivia from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Movement The Hill will be easily accessible from Walnut Hill Lane and the Central Expressway, with plenty of parking. It’s also close to the DART red line Walnut Hill stop.
