ADDISON — Jeremiah’s Italian Ice hosted a ribbon cutting for its latest location in Addison on Tuesday.

Citizens, children, and city officials gathered at this new location on April 11 to sample different treats before its official grand opening later this weekend.

Jeremiah’s Italian Ice was originally founded in 1996 in Orlando, Florida, and currently has over 98 locations scattered across the southern United States in Texas, Florida, Louisiana, Nevada, Alabama, and others. The business continues to expand across the South and is offering more franchising opportunities.

Kathy Cordrey, director of marketing for iServ LLC, told The Dallas Express this new location would serve as a training store for future franchisees in the DFW market.

“We just started franchising three years ago, and it has absolutely exploded,” said Cordrey. “It’s a fun vibrant brand for young people with lots of creativity,” she continued.

The 1,785-square-foot location at 14380 Marsh Ln. in Addison will seat up to 32 people and feature outdoor seating. It will create 25 new career opportunities for the area.

The restaurant’s signature item is the Gelati, a combination of soft-serve ice cream and Italian ice presented in layers. Customers can mix flavors or choose from pre-made selections.

“We are excited to be a part of the Addison community and larger Dallas food scene,” said Jeff Frymer, store manager of this new location, in a press release. “From our signature Gelati to ice cream and Italian ice, we have a lot to offer the frozen treat lovers in the area. We can’t wait to serve you,” he continued.

Jeremiah’s Italian Ice features 24 flavors daily, including blueberry, sea-salted caramel, coconut, and mango. The soft-serve ice cream is available in chocolate, vanilla, or swirled.

The frozen treat shop also offers sugar-free, dairy-free, and vegan options.

Hayden Austin, president and CEO of Metrocrest Chamber of Commerce, welcomed Jeremiah’s Italian Ice as a new chamber member at the ribbon cutting.

“They’re gonna serve up soft treats with smiles for years to come. We are so happy that you chose this location,” said Austin.

Hayden Boyd, director of operations at iServ, said that the organization is attempting to open 50 new locations in the next nine years and that he intends for all guests to experience their community-driven service.

“We were really looking for a community-driven area as a place for this store. This store is very important to not only the community but to Jeremiah’s because this is the corporate training facility for all future Jeremiahs to open in Dallas and Fort Worth.”

Jeremiah’s Italian Ice will host a grand opening on Saturday and Sunday, April 15 and 16. Attendees at this two-day event will receive free samples, half prices of small and medium scoops, and face painting for kids.
