Karol G’s Bichota Tour will now be making the rounds in Texas in December. Her show at the Texas Trust CU Theatre in Grand Prairie, initially scheduled for November 11, was postponed until December due to “unforeseen events.”

A total of four concerts on the tour were rescheduled, including Houston, Boston, and Chicago, in addition to the Grand Prairie show. Tour organizers gave no explanation for the changes.

For Dallas area ticket-holders, the concert has been rescheduled for Thursday, December 9 at 7:30 pm at the original venue, located at 1001 Texas Trust Way in Grand Prairie.

Both concerts in Texas are “sold out,” but verified resale tickets are still available online. This concert, music style, and environment welcomes people of all ages.

According to El Paso Inc., Karol G is a Colombian singer and songwriter “known for her reggaeton and Latin trap songs.”

Karol G stated, “It’s a dream for me to be able to return to the stage after everything stopped in 2020. I was very excited to know that I’ll be able to share my music again live with all my fans.”

The artist’s album, KG0516, made it to the number one spot on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums, Apple Music’s Top Latin Albums, and Spotify’s Top Global Album Debuts. Karol G and singer Nicki Minaj co-wrote the song “Tusa” and performed it in a video. This earned Karol G many new fans.

Karol G’s single, “El Makinon,” was produced with Mariah Angela and hit the number one spot on Billboard Latin Airplay. That song became her eleventh song to hit the top of the charts.

Karol G was born as Carolina Giraldo Navarro on February 14, 1991. She was born and raised in Medellin and experienced her first brush with fame when, at the age of fourteen, she appeared on The X Factor’s Colombian spinoff.

The artist later attended the University of Antioquia to study music, and while there, she sang backup for other performers.

In 2012, she traveled to Miami for an interview with Universal Records. They did not sign her at the time, “fearing that a woman would not be successful in the reggaeton genre,” according to Wikipedia.

That setback did not stop her, and she continued to pursue her interest in the music industry. Karol G traveled to various clubs, festivals, and colleges throughout Colombia with her father to promote her music.

Karol G mentioned, “I always said that if we’d make money per miles, we’d be millionaires. It was a long process… and because of it, I can truly enjoy what’s happening now.”

In 2014, Karol G moved to New York City “to learn more about the music industry and signed to Universal Music Latino.” The Colombian artist received a Latin Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 2018.

She has always been inspired by artists like Selena, Shakira, and Beyonce and enjoys experimenting with various music styles. Karol G’s musical interests are varied, and some of her favorite artists include Ivy Queen, Backstreet Boys, Thalia, Jerry Rivera, Spice Girls, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and The Bee Gees.

Rolling Stone’s Ecleen Luzmila Caraballo described Karol G as “feminine and sexy, yet sporty and tomboyish – but never cutesy.”

Gary Suarez from Vice talked about Karol G’s style as an artist. He stated, “She exudes a sexy positivity that reflects a powerful diva image front and center, rather than the eye candy tropes often found in urbano visuals.”
