Henry’s Majestic has opened the doors of its new 2-acre West Dallas location, ushering in a new era.

Formerly nestled in Uptown Dallas, the new location at 2303 Pittman St. will offer guests the same comfortable experience but much improved through sprawling outdoor space modeled after a hybrid contemporary barnyard concept. This means features such as an outdoor live music stage, a 400-place patio, and a secret garden will be paired with games like musical bingo, cornhole, and connect four.

“Our motto at Henry’s Majestic has always been ‘Good Food. Strong Drink.’ And customers can expect us to stay true to that mindset as we reopen our doors,” said owner Andrew Popp, according to the restaurant’s website.

Popp shut down the last location and its accompanying speakeasy called Atwater Alley roughly a year ago after the property was slated for residential development. The new location is where Chicken Scratch and The Foundry previously stood. It has been crafted to serve as a venue for all moods and occasions. There will also be a space for up to six food trucks to help serve guests when evenings get busy.

Indoor spaces include three buildings, one housing a bar where guests can place QR code orders, another offering a classic sit-down restaurant experience, and the last featuring by next year a cozy speakeasy.

Outdoors, guests can choose their own adventure by playing games, lounging around a firepit with their dog, or tucking into one of the reused shipping containers for an intimate evening with friends.

For fans of the prior menu at Henry’s Majestic, the good news is that about half of the dishes remain, including the hugely popular bone marrow burger, birria ramen, and bourbon meatballs. The new additions feature modernized concoctions sure to tantalize the tastebuds, such as two halibut dishes, one with pipian verde sauce and the other in a dragon fruit aguachile.

Yet the drink selection remains a cornerstone of Henry’s Majestic experience. Barman Alex Fletcher revives famous concoctions from the establishment’s inception alongside innovative zero-waste cocktail options and unique “puptails” for canine companions.
