With the Halloween holiday quickly approaching, there is still plenty for North Texans to take part in within the Dallas-Fort Worth region.

These events include haunted houses in Plano, Midlothian, Garland, and Red Oak, pub crawls and happy hours in Dallas, and Halloween-themed family nights in Farmers Branch and Garland.

Reportedly, one of the scariest haunted houses that can be visited in the DFW region is Dark Hour Haunted House. For this Halloween season, the haunted house went through expansions, the Dark Hour website shares.

“This year the 13 witches of the Dark Hour Coven have gathered to cast the most terrifying spell … your worst nightmares come to life. For 2022 Dark Hour Haunted House is undergoing a massive expansion that includes adding more terrifying scenes, creatures, horrors, and nightmares that are sure to thrill all who enter our Coven,” the website states.

Dark Hour will be open from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Halloween day.

The Dallas Express previously reported on some of the top North Texas haunted houses to be enjoyed this season.

In Dallas, the Dallas Halloweekend Hangover Pub Crawl can be enjoyed on October 29 and October 31. There will be various prizes offered and costume contests. During the Halloween event, pub crawlers can post to social media for a chance to win additional prizes, Pubcrawls.com shares.

“In today’s day and age many people thought Pubcrawls would not return in full swing back to Dallas, Texas for Halloween 2022 … but they were wrong,” the Pubcrawls website states. “We encourage you to wear your most creative costume and do not wait until the last minute to find one. Right now, is the time!”

On October 30, North Texas families can attend the Trick-or-Treat Extravaganza in Dallas hosted by Dallas Youth Sports. It will be held at the TBP Athletic Complex, the Youth Sports website details, and will last from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

“We will provide 500 free meals, music, games, special activities and fun for all ages,” Dallas Youth Sports states. “To participate in this event, you MUST bring candy to be distributed to the youth during the event.”

Some of the other North Texas haunted houses to visit close to Halloween are Reindeer Manor Halloween Park and J & F House of Terror, which has a maze.

There will also be additional events hosted that the entire family can enjoy. These include Klyde Warren Park’s Trick-or-Treating in the Park and Family Fun Art.
