The Fur Ball, a major fundraiser for the SPCA of Texas, returns on Saturday, Oct. 2nd, with the hopes of raising awareness and money to help rescue and find homes for pets throughout North Texas.

Since 1938, the SPCA of Texas (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of Texas) has been the leading animal welfare agency in North Texas, with two shelters and three spay/neuter clinics in Dallas and McKinney.

The black-tie event at the Hyatt Regency Dallas features dinner, dancing, and live and silent auctions. Additionally, throughout the night, participants will share stories of animal rescues and SPCA mission-related stories.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event will be held both in-person and virtually. In-person and virtual tickets remain available at the Fur Ball website. In-person tickets start at $300, and virtual access is $25.

Fur Ball 2021 is chaired by Hiren and Dhruva Patel, auction chairs Amber and Anthony Sims, and host committee chair Rebecca Marabito. NBC 5 news anchor Brian Chris will serve as the night’s emcee, while Grant Snyder will conduct the auction.

A nonprofit organization, the SPCA of Texas serves as an active resource center providing an array of programs and services that bring people and animals together to enrich each other’s lives.

The SPCA of Texas is not affiliated with any other entity. Therefore, the SPCA of Texas will use all funds raised from the event to “rescue, heal, and find homes for thousands of animals and keep pets in homes, out of shelters, and off the streets.”
