Singer-songwriter Amos Lee will be performing with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra next March.

Amos Lee is a modern folk artist from Philadelphia. American Songwriter described his latest album, Dreamland, as one in which “his traumas and tribulations … take center stage.”

His 2006 song “Sweet Pea” has over 117 million streams on Spotify. The song “Worry No More” from his newest album has already garnered over 15 million streams, and Lee boasts 2.8 million monthly listeners on Spotify.

When asked by Songwriter Universe which of his albums new fans should start out with, Lee said, “I’d start with the first one [Amos Lee], the self-titled record. It’s the beginning. And I think the one people relate to a lot is Mission Bell, so I’d also recommend that.”

This is the first time that Lee will be collaborating with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. The concert will take place on March 22, 2024, at 7:30 p.m. at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center. Tickets for the coming 2023-2024 season will be on sale this summer.

In the meantime, Lee will be touring throughout the summer of 2023 and into the fall. He will not be touring in Texas but will have stops in California, Tennessee, Washington, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Colorado, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and New York.

This is not Lee’s first time collaborating with a symphony orchestra. Last year, in October of 2022, he performed with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Andrew Lipke conducted that performance as well.

Some more exciting performances are coming up for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra before they disappear for the summer and before Lee takes the stage next March. E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Movie in Concert will take place from May 19-21. Picking up in the fall, Ben Folds will perform with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra from October 20-21.

If you are a fan of Harry Potter, mark your calendar for October 27-29 and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban in Concert.

The Dallas Symphony Orchestra schedule already has its performances planned for the 2024 season. You can view the calendar here.
