Austin-based restaurant group Hai Hospitality is making its entrance into the Addison area. Loro, an Asian steakhouse, will be opening at 14999 Montfort Dr. in the Fall of 2022. The restaurant is currently in development and will have a deck for indoor dining and an outdoor waiting area with large trees. The concept is said to have a covered outdoor bar area as well.

The area will be 5,200 square feet with 25 interior tables and 140 interior seats. The exterior area will have 150 seats, with 65 seats in the waiting area.

“We have been so pleased with the reception we have received at our first Loro in DFW that we set our sights immediately on another Dallas-area neighborhood,” said Hai Hospitality CEO Tony Montero. “Addison is thriving, and we are thrilled to bring Loro to this dynamic, growing community.” Loro opened its first DFW location in July 2021 in Old East Dallas.

Loro started as a partnership between their VP of culinary, pitmaster Aaron Franklin, and chef Tyson Cole. The menu will feature grilled and smoked meats, sides, batch cocktails, and craft beer. It will provide a variety of options all crafted by Jack Yoss, Aaron Franklin, and Tyson Cole.

Loro’s first restaurant opened in 2018 in Austin, and they have been thriving ever since. Even during the pandemic, the DFW Loro location opened and thrived. Addison will be Hai Hospitality’s second location in the DFW area and its fourth location for the brand overall. Next year, the group plans to open another Loro restaurant in Houston.

Hai Hospitality Group also owns Uchi, Uchiko, and Uchiba, each having attained popularity in their communities. The menu at Loro combines the southeast Asian flavors that Tyson Cole is known for and Texas BBQ, which Aaron Franklin specializes in.

The location is still a ways off from being built, but high expectations have been set for this hospitality group.
