Nuri Grill will open on November 9 in Dallas’ Koreatown. The upscale Asian-inspired steakhouse is situated in a 4,000 square foot space at Royal Lane. This highly anticipated restaurant comes from CEO Wan Kim with Chefs Mini Kim and Ben Lee on board.

Wan Kim is famously known for the Smoothie King franchise. Kim created Nuri Grill to bring patrons more than just a delicious hot meal but to have fun and enjoy an expansive menu of offerings.

Nuri Grill’s menu includes American wines, Japanese wines, and whiskies, cocktails with an Asian twist, top-notch meats, and five-course meals called Feasts. Each table features a grill so that patrons can enjoy watching their server cook or cook themselves.

Kim and his partners had a “carnivorous vision to merge the dining experience of Korean barbecue with the unmistakable hallmarks of a traditional American steakhouse,” as shared in their story, per their website.

“Since moving to Dallas in 2018, I’ve wanted to bring a unique dining experience to the city but also provide an approachable menu for those who may not be familiar with Korean but also other Asian-inspired finer dining destinations,” Kim shared in a statement.

Chefs Mini Kim and Ben Lee, also husband and wife, have developed a menu that includes Korean-style ribeye and chateaubriand, Prime NY strip, and marinated kalbi short rib. As for sides, patrons can enjoy kimchi fried rice, beef and fried egg, grilled vegetables, Ssam lettuce wraps, and more. Nuri will also offer starters such as craft fritters, kimchi pancakes, and grilled Chinese broccoli.

Nuri Grill’s spacious design will seat up to 108 patrons and promises an elegant but comfortable atmosphere for all to enjoy. They believe those who love barbecue will love Nuri Grill even if they are not familiar with Asian cuisine.
