Unknown Gunman Fatally Shoots Man in South Dallas

An unknown gunman chased a man down in South Dallas and then fatally shot him last week.

Around 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, Dallas police officers responded to a call concerning a shooting in the 2700 block of South Second Avenue in South Dallas.

Several people at the scene were found performing first aid on the man who had been shot.

Witnesses told police that they saw a man approach the victim, chase him down, and shoot him. The victim was taken to the hospital, where he died.

No details about the victim or the gunman are known. The investigation is still pending, and there is no known motive.
