Dallas Police are asking the public to help identify a suspect connected with a shooting at 10000 Harry Hines Boulevard on January 9.

At 5:50 am, the suspect and his victim began arguing. Following the argument, the suspect was seen on video leaving the club and waiting in the parking lot.

Video evidence then shows the victim entering the passenger side of a vehicle and pulling out of the parking lot.

Soon after, video footage shows the suspect speeding off in a dark-colored Dodge Charger.

The suspect followed the victim from the club to the 10500 block of Harry Hines Blvd., where he shot multiple times into the victim’s vehicle, hitting the victim, according to police.

The victim was taken to a hospital and listed in stable condition.

The driver was not hit by gunfire, according to police.

The Dallas Police Department took to Twitter to release a public call to help identify the suspect.

“Dallas Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect in a shooting on Harry Hines Boulevard on January 9, 2023. Anyone with info on the incident or on the identity of the suspect, please contact Det Brody Baggs at 469-849-3760 or [email protected],” the post read.

The Dallas Express contacted the Dallas Police Department for additional information regarding public awareness of the suspect.

“We always tell people not to take police action and to contact us if they can identify or have information about a suspect’s whereabouts or the crime that was committed,” said Kristin Lowman, spokeswoman for the department, speaking to The Dallas Express.

The investigation is ongoing.

Violent crime in Dallas continues to rise as aggravated assaults have increased since 2022 by nearly 20% year-to-date. Murder and nonnegligent manslaughter have spiked by 16% in the same period.

The incident took place in Dallas City Councilmember Omar Narvaez’s District 6.
