A Houston man is facing more than 7 years for a “jugging” robbery of an ATM technician in Midlothian.

Corey Dashun Holloway, 30, was sentenced to 87 months – or 7.25 years – in federal prison on December 15, according to a press release from the Department of Justice. He was a member of the Houston-based “Hiram Clarke Money Team,” which traveled to other areas to commit “juggings” – following victims from banks, before robbing them.

In this case, Holloway and other gang members allegedly followed an ATM technician around the Dallas-Fort Worth area before robbing him in Midlothian in 2024, as The Dallas Express reported.

Holloway pleaded guilty in September to felony interference with commerce by robbery, according to the release. FBI-Dallas investigated the case, U.S. Sr. District Judge David Godbey handed down the sentencing, the third so far.

Holloway allegedly admitted that he traveled in a rental car from Houston to the DFW area in the early morning of July 3, 2024, to commit robbery. Then, after arriving in the area, he reportedly followed an ATM technician to “multiple stops” in Irving, Grand Prairie, Arlington, and then Midlothian.

That evening, Holloway approached the technician around 5:35 p.m. as he was servicing a Chase Bank in Midlothian, according to the release. He, along with codefendants Johnny Juwan Clark and Roosevelt Ford Valentine, was each wearing a hoodie at the time.

“Clark approached the technician from behind and forced him to the ground,” the release reads. “Clark kept his fist to the back of the victim’s head as cannisters containing United States currency were removed from the ATM by Holloway and Valentine.”

Ultimately, they allegedly made off with roughly $260,000 during the robbery – though earlier reporting suggested they took $284,000.

Afterward, they reportedly used the rental car to flee from the scene, meeting codefendant Tierra Tonisha Brandyberg at a nearby apartment complex. Then they loaded the stolen money into a Range Rover and drove back to Houston.

“Two days after the robbery, a jewelry store in Houston posted a video on social media of Holloway in the store in possession of large quantities of cash and purchasing a diamond Rolex, a diamond necklace and other jewelry,” the release reads.

At the time of the robbery, Holloway was serving probation in Collin County for “aggravated robbery and engaging in organized criminal activity.”

The Wylie Police Department issued an arrest warrant for Holloway in 2018, citing an organized crime violation, according to court records. The McKinney Police Department also issued a warrant for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon the same year, though the charge was later dismissed.

During Holloway’s sentencing, Godbey ordered his federal sentence to run consecutive to any state sentence from the Collin County cases, according to the release.

Two of his codefendants have already been sentenced.

Godbey sentenced Clark this summer to 10 years in prison, a total of 8 years for this robbery and another 2 years for a previous instance, as The Dallas Express reported at the time. He was on “supervised release” from a previous stint in federal prison for robbery.

Brandyberg was also sentenced to 41 months – or nearly 3.5 years – in federal prison on November 3, according to the release. Meanwhile, Valentine pleaded guilty on December 2 to a total of three “jugging” robberies targeting ATM technicians and is awaiting sentencing.
