A man was found dead in a ditch in Parker County on Friday. Authorities now seek the public’s help in finding his killer.

About 1 a.m. on May 20, officers were called to the 2300 block of Bennett Road, near Goen Road. A witness had reported seeing a man lying in a ditch. Upon arrival, responding officers found the man unresponsive. He was later declared deceased.

The Parker County Sheriff’s Office said the man had injuries “consistent with homicidal violence.” Sheriff Russ Authier added that the Texas Rangers would be joining the investigation.

Authorities will not name the man publicly until the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office officially identifies him and notifies his next-of-kin. An autopsy will also be carried out on the body to determine the cause and manner of death.

Police did not provide additional information regarding the killing. However, they are asking for information that may help solve the case.

The Parker County Sheriff’s Office urges anyone with information to submit it anonymously by texting the letters PCSO and the tip to 847411 or through parkercountysheriff.net.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1,000 in reward for information that leads to an arrest. Tips can be submitted by calling 817-599-5555.

No additional information on this incident is available at this time.
