New reporting suggests the February law enforcement operation at a Harry Hines Boulevard adult bookstore may be connected to a broader investigation into alleged prostitution, trafficking, and money laundering.

As previously reported by The Dallas Express, federal and local authorities conducted coordinated enforcement activity on February 13 at the Paris Adult Book Store in the 11100 block of Harry Hines Boulevard. Multiple agencies participated in the operation, but police initially declined to disclose the nature of the investigation.

Subsequent reporting from WFAA states that law enforcement sources described the operation as part of a prostitution sting tied to the Paris Adult Book Store.

Authorities also searched a residence on Coral Cove Court in Plano connected to the alleged owner of several adult businesses involved in the investigation, according to the report. Officials have not publicly identified the owner.

Sources told WFAA investigators are pursuing potential charges that could include prostitution, human trafficking, and money laundering.

Multiple agencies participated in the operation, including the Dallas Police Department, Plano Police Department, the Internal Revenue Service, and Homeland Security Investigations.

Witnesses described a large law enforcement presence during the raid.

“You name it, they over there!” Roy King told WFAA after observing officers entering and leaving the Harry Hines business. “I ain’t never seen nothing like this in my whole entire life!”

The Harry Hines corridor in northwest Dallas has long drawn scrutiny from law enforcement due to prostitution and human trafficking activity.

The enforcement activity unfolded as authorities increased pressure on businesses along the Harry Hines corridor.

As previously reported by The Dallas Express, the City of Dallas obtained a Temporary Restraining Order on February 12 against a business in the 10600 block of Harry Hines Boulevard tied to alleged prostitution promotion and narcotics sales by employees.

Dallas police said the enforcement action involved the department’s Vice Unit, Human Trafficking Unit, and the Northwest Prostitution Task Force.

Police did not identify the business publicly, but officers secured the building following the court order.

“The Dallas Police Department is committed to disrupting the criminal enterprises that promote the sale of dangerous drugs and encourage human trafficking,” the department said at the time.

Dallas police have not announced arrests or filed charges related to the February 13 bookstore operation.

Authorities say the investigation remains ongoing.
