A former Little Elm charter school teacher arrested last month for child sex crimes now faces three additional charges following a second arrest on Thursday.
Eric Moore, 30, turned himself in at the Little Elm Police Department to face new counts of indecency with a child by sexual contact, authorities reported. A Denton County grand jury also indicted Moore on his original charges the same day.
The expanding case against the former North Texas Collegiate Academy teacher underscores ongoing concerns about child safety in educational settings. Police continue investigating but have released few details about the alleged victims.
Moore’s legal troubles began in January when police launched an investigation after receiving a report of sexual abuse on January 7. The school immediately placed Moore on administrative leave before he resigned from his position at the academy’s East Campus.
His initial arrest resulted in one count of indecency with a child and four counts of continuous sexual abuse of a child. Thursday’s arrest added three more indecency charges.
Authorities have not disclosed the ages of the alleged victims or Moore’s connection to them. The number of children involved remains unclear as the investigation continues.
