Police have arrested a 27-year-old man linked to trespassing and exposure incidents at two North Texas universities and a local gym, authorities said.
Jeremiah Devereaux was taken into custody on January 31 after officers responded to a criminal trespass report at a gym in the 1300 block of S. Loop 288.
Witnesses told police that Devereaux had entered the women’s locker room, sauna, and bathroom before fleeing the scene. Officers located him and arrested him on an outstanding theft warrant.
As the investigation unfolded, Denton police discovered that University of North Texas police were probing an indecent exposure case from the previous day, January 30. In that incident, the suspect exposed himself to a woman in a campus restroom. Following joint efforts by both departments, UNT police identified Devereaux as the suspect and secured an arrest warrant.
Devereaux also faces charges from an earlier event at Texas Woman’s University in January 2025, where he was arrested for criminal trespass and resisting arrest. Authorities said he allegedly tried to follow a female victim into a bathroom stall.
In 2017, Devereaux was arrested for aggravated sexual assault in Aubrey, Fox 4 KDFW reported.
He remains held in the Denton County Jail on a $5,000 bond.
Investigators suspect there could be other unreported encounters involving Devereaux and urged anyone with information to contact Detective David Acrey at (940) 349-7993.
