The Dallas Police Department is investigating a lethal stabbing that occurred on Monday night, reported WFAA.

According to police, they responded to a call on December 19 at 9 p.m.

Arriving at the 4800 block of Bismark Drive, they discovered a male victim who had been stabbed.

The victim, identified by police as 38-year-old Marktwon Daniell Hicks, was taken to a local hospital where he eventually died from his injuries.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact Detective Jeffrey Loeb either by phone at 214-671-3702 or by emailing [email protected].

The public is also encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers, which offers up to a $5,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and indictment.

Call Crime Stoppers at 214-373-TIPS (8477). They are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

As The Dallas Express has reported extensively in its Crime Boss series, crime is a rising issue in Dallas that city leaders are largely failing to address. District 4, where this incident took place, is represented by Councilmember Carolyn King Arnold.
