Dallas police are investigating another homicide on North Masters Drive after an 18-year-old man died in a shooting early Sunday.

Officers responded to a shooting call at about 1:53 a.m. in the 400 block of North Masters Drive, according to the Dallas Police Department.

The preliminary investigation found that an unknown suspect shot Isaiah Hernandez, 18. Dallas Fire-Rescue transported Hernandez to a hospital, where he died.

Police have not announced an arrest.

The investigation remains ongoing under case number 085768-2026.

Second Masters Drive Homicide

The shooting came five days after Dallas police identified Myron Henry, 42, as the man killed in a June 9 shooting in the 2000 block of North Masters Drive, as previously reported by The Dallas Express.

In that case, officers responded to a shooting call around 7:50 p.m. and found two men struck by gunfire. Henry died at the scene, and Dallas Fire-Rescue transported the second victim to a hospital in stable condition.

Police said the preliminary investigation found that three unidentified suspects fired shots at the location, striking two men and several vehicles before fleeing.

DPD has not announced an arrest in the June 9 Masters Drive case.

June Homicide Cases

The latest Masters Drive killing adds to a deadly start to June in Dallas, where police have released updates in several homicide investigations from the first half of the month.

Dallas police said officers took Gabriel Ybarra, 23, into custody at the scene and charged him with murder after Trevan Aguinaga, 31, died from a June 2 shooting in the 400 block of Highcrest Drive.

Police also said Jordan Brown, 22, shot Domnique Wrice, 42, on June 2 in the 13600 block of the eastbound CF Hawn Service Road. Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to the scene, where Wrice died. Officers later detained Brown in Fate, Texas, and took him to Dallas Police Headquarters. Police said Brown faces a murder charge.

The U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force arrested David Reyna, 31, on June 4 in connection with the June 2 shooting death of Issac Padilla, 50, in the 1800 block of Sylvan Avenue, according to Dallas police. Police said Reyna also faces an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge tied to a separate June 2 shooting in the 3800 block of Texas Drive.

Police have not announced an arrest in the June 1 shooting death of Broderic King, 36, in the 7500 block of Chesterfield Drive.

Investigation Ongoing
