13-Year-Old Boy Fatally Shot

Fort Worth Police are investigating the death of a 13-year-old boy who was fatally shot on Saturday as a homicide.

On May 28, around 11:30 a.m., officers arrived at the 6050 block of Stoneybrook Drive in Fort Worth after receiving a shooting call. They discovered the victim, identified by the Tarrant County medical examiner as Zahnii Davis, with a gunshot wound in the torso.

The teen was taken to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.

According to a police official, detectives have the shooter in custody and are interviewing them and witnesses. No arrests have been made, and no further information was available as of press time.
