A woman is dead after being struck by a vehicle on February 25 while crossing the street with a Walmart shopping cart.
Per a report from The Dallas Morning News, a Ford Focus hit the woman as she attempted to cross the street near a Walmart in the Mountain Creek neighborhood of Dallas.
Officers were responding to an unrelated vehicle incident in the same location when the woman was struck by the car at about 9:40 p.m.
The driver of the car stayed at the scene in the 8700 block of Clark Road until police arrived. According to authorities, the motorist is not to face any charges.
The unidentified woman was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.
An investigation is underway.
